To determine the length of the brads to use in your project, the rule of thumb is to multiply the thickness of the material you are fastening by three. If you are fastening a material that is 15 mm thick, the brad should be 45 mm.

To find out which brad-nail or brad suits your nail gund (regardless of brand), please see our reference page.

Make sure that you are using 15 gauge 34° angeled brad nails. Match the angle of the nose with the angle of the brads. Always load nail heads in the top of the magazine, slide the brads to the front and pullback the latch until it clicks.

To remove a brad nail that has gotten stuck, you need a plier. You also need to make sure that the tool is disconnected from the compressor. The brads loaded in the magazine can stay there. Open the latch and front cover, remove the jammed brad with the plier. Close the cover back up.

To do this you need a couple of wrenches, a scissor, and thread seal tape. You also need to do this in a space with low humidity. Unscrew the coupling from the tool. Cut a 10-13cm long piece of seal tape. Wrap the tape around the coupling, make sure that the tape is flat and even. Now you can remount the sealed coupling to the tool.
